I made the fun drive back to Toronto today! (more pics later … ) While many are out celebrating the new year’s arrival, I’ve decided to be a little more low key, staying at home! Personally, New Year’s eve is not a big celebration for me. I usually take the time to reflect on the past year and making plans for the next 365 days. It’s not something I want to do amongst a crowd!
What’s my problem? Why can’t I just relax and celebrate? I do agree that you have a point! Perhaps I’ll resolve to do in the next year? =P Hopefully with someone special! Yes, I’m still single, and I’m hoping to take the advice of Jen and resolve to open up more, meet more people (ladies I presume) and who knows?!? One of my New Year’s resolutions is to devote more time to doing mixed martial arts. I’m paying for the gym membership, but not making full use of it to keep fit!
Am I out of shape? According to western standards, I’m moderately overweight at 165 lbs for a 5′ 6″ frame. Then, by Asian standards I would be considered fat right? Most of my friends are nice enough to say its all muscle as I’m still quite athletic, but I would like to see some of that muscle showing sometimes? More importantly, I don’t feel as strong as I used to!
So that’s 2 resolutions. One goal I’d like to attain is to make this site and my other websites gain a bigger audience, have more reader interaction. That’s the whole point of blogging! Yes, people want to make money through blogging. It should be a welcoming side effect, but I’m really looking for readers, not customers!
I’m sure there’s a lot more I wish to accomplish in 2006, they just can’t come to me right now. Let’s reflect back on 2005 with a few positives!
Congratulations to Andy for becoming attaining the professional engineer (PEng) designation!
Congratulations to Steve and Katherine for their new-born baby girl Evelyn!
Congratulations to Peter annd Linh also on their baby girl Angel!
Congratulations to John and Van on their very recently born baby boy Ryan on December 22nd, 2005. No, the baby did not want to be the first baby of 2006! LOL
Congratulations to Jimmy for quitting your job (even if it’s to go back for an MBA). I’ve done that before and its a cathartic experience!
Congratulations to a some newly married couples! Jerry & Shallen, Harry and Theresa. May 2006 bring to you a new year filled with love and happiness.
Finally, take a look at the last 2005 sunrise as taken from my car this morning! (Along with a few other pictures to show my snowy journey. There were more snow the further south I went!)
